After a day like today, the trail earned its rest, and camp turned into pure, unfiltered fun. Once carts were parked and boots came off, it was time for something the pioneers never got: field day.
We started off with some cool, refreshing watermelon. From there, camp scattered into a full rotation of games: dancing, 9-square, gaga ball, stick ball, and corn hole all going at once, with laughter bouncing between them.
It was exactly what everyone needed. After legs and shoulders had done their work on the trail, this was a chance for the rest of them to come out—the laughing, the teasing, the friendly trash talk, the kind of joy that comes easy when a group has already been through something hard together.
